M.A. Education – CMHC Admissions
Candidates for Malone’s online M.A. Ed. Clinical Mental Health Counseling program must submit the following:
- Graduate application
- Official transcripts
- Two professional references
- An autobiography, between two and three single-spaced typewritten pages
The autobiography should include:
- A description of your family of origin
- Significant life experiences that have shaped you
- A situation in which you were involved in helping another person in crisis
- The factors that you believe have influenced your decision to pursue a career as a professional counselor.
In addition, applicants must participate in an interview.
Costs and Financial Aid
Program Cost and Fees
The M.A.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling costs $595 per credit hour.
Fees are as follows:
- $110 TK20 enrollment fee (one-time fee)
- $135 graduation fee
- Additional $100 per semester fee applies
To determine your financial aid eligibility, submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible. The FAFSA form helps us determine what federal and state financial aid is available based on your financial need.

Students will also need to complete the Malone Financial Aid application once they have submitted their admissions application.
Students can transfer a maximum of 15 credit hours that have been completed within the last seven years. The amount of credit hours allowed to be transferred is at the discretion of the Program Director.
