The online RN-BSN program is intended to provide students with the knowledge they need to advance in the nursing profession. Through a Christian lens, participants will learn the competencies required to successfully take on more responsibility in their careers.
Requirements for Admission
RN-BSN students must document a minimum of 60 transferable college semester hours (90 quarter hours) with a grade no lower than “C’ earned in each transferable nursing and support course to be admitted to the program.

Requirements for Graduation
A student must have a minimum of 124 credit hours including the general education, liberal arts, and nursing curriculum requirements to complete the requirements for graduation.
RN-BSN Online Admissions
Candidates for Malone’s online RN-BSN program must submit the following:
- A completed application
- Need official transcripts
- Two letters of professional recommendation
- Verification of their nursing license and current certifications
Costs and Financial Aid
Program Cost & Fees
The RN-BSN costs $250 per credit hour.
Fees are as follows:
- Graduation/Pinning Ceremony Fee $110
- Additional $100 per semester fee applies
There may be various financial aid options available to our online programs. To determine your financial aid eligibility, submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible. The FAFSA form helps us determine what federal and state financial aid is available based on your financial need.

Students will also need to complete the Malone Financial Aid application once they have submitted their admissions application.
There is no maximum limit on credits transferred. Coursework must be from a regionally accredited institution, generally 100 level or higher, and passed with a “C” or better in order to transfer successfully.
RN-BSN students must complete 30 credit hours total at Malone, including the final 10 credit hours of the program. Although there is no limit to the amount of credits students may transfer, they are required to complete the RN-BSN program’s 36 credit hours at Malone.

Clinical nurse managers are managerial professionals who coordinate nurses and activity within hospital settings. They may be responsible for selecting, training, and developing staff, ensuring legal and professional compliance, overseeing day-to-day activities, monitoring budgets, and other related duties. These individuals must demonstrate strong attention to detail and usually must have previous management experience.
Surgical nurses are responsible for providing care and assistance to patients and surgeons during procedures. They may be responsible for creating and executing care plans, monitoring patients for complications, and responding to surgical emergencies, in addition to performing common nursing tasks. These professionals must have relevant work experience and be comfortable working in high-stress, team-oriented environments.
Pediatric nurses specialize in providing for the medical needs of children and adolescents.
